August 11, some herdsmen from Nagchu Townships were doing push-and-pull match at above sea level of 4,500 meters. This is one of the important parts of the matches in Qiangtang Horse-racing Cultural Festival, which is held every year.

The cultural festival is the biggest folk festival in northern Tibet. It marshals the performances and physical sports together. Besides horse-racing, yak-racing, equestrianism, toxophily, etc, are also held.
