The world has made itself at home in Canada and we have learned to embrace and appreciate diversity of all kinds. Our country continues to be enriched by the many and varied experiences, talents and points of view of all our citizens, who originate from all over the planet. China Tibet Cultural Week activities provide welcome opportunities for Canadians of all backgrounds and walks of life to learn more about Tibetan art and culture and to discover the unique character of this corner of the world.

As Minister of Canadian Heritage, I would like to tank the Chinese community associations in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver for organizing so many varied educational and entertaining events for this special week. Special thanks to the China International Cultural Exchange Association and the Tibet International Cultural Exchange Association for their support of all the wonderful activities to promote increased understanding and appreciation of Tibetan Cultural Splendour.
