Message of Congratulation from Bob Chiare,
Mayor of Ottawa, Canda
On
behalf of Members of Council and the residents of the City of Ottawa,
it gives me great pleasure to extend a very warm Welcome to all
of those attending the performance of the Song and Dance Ensemble
of the Tibet Autonomous Region at the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
This evening's presentation is a unique opportunity to experience
both traditional and modern age repertoires of dance, drama, and
music, which have been mastered over the centuries, and are widely
celebrated as spremire art forms throughout China today.
Guests of the Ottawa performance will also have the special privilege
to be entertained by the Chinese singing legend Tsedan Drolma in
the course of tonight's highly acclaimed program.
I would like to congratulate the Embassy of the People's Republic
of China, and the Federation of Ottawa-Carleton Chinese Organizations
for their generous support of this evening's event, and to thank
the entire cast of performers for their outstanding efforts in presenting
these magnificent repertoires of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Allow me to offer my best wishes to everyone in attendance for a
most enjoyable and entertaining program of music, drama and dance.
Sincerely,
Bob Chiarelli
Mayor
City of Ottawa
