A Message from Mayor Mel Lastman

It is my pleasure to extend greetings and a warm welcome to everyone participating in "Tibet Cultural Splendor", presented by the China International Cultural Exchange Association and the Tibet International Cultural Exchange Association.
The arts are a unifying force in our city. They not only enrich our lives but are vital to Toronto cultural atmosphere and social development. During this very special event, our community will be privileged to experience the rich style of dance and music, films, photographs and "Thanks" that embrace and celebrate the beauty of Tibetan heritage and culture.
We live in a unique and vibrant city, and are truly fortunate to have the opportunity to share such an incredible wealth of arts, music, dance and the cultural diversity of people from 170 different countries who call Toronto home.
Together, the play an important part in the mosaic, success and vitality of our city-something of which we are all extremely proud!
On behalf of Toronto Council and the 2.5million people of our great city, I congratulate and thank the organizers of this outstanding event. To the performers, exhibitors and all those attending, I offer my best wishes for a most memorable and enjoyable time.
