Canadian Chairmen Met Chinese Delegation

Chairmen of Canada and China Parliament Association met Chinese Tibetologists and Living Buddhist Representative Delegation in 24th Sep. Both sides exchanged ideas on Tibetan society, economy, culture, religion and other fields.

Chairman Austin welcomed the delegation to visit Canada. He said, in May of this year, Canada and China Parliament Delegation had its first visit to Tibet and Tibetan culture and economy development left them deep impression. Canadians took great interest in Tibetan culture and hoped to get further understandings of Tibet.

Both sides had also exchanged ideas on religion administration and ethnic minority culture protection.

Chinese ambassador to Canada Meiping also attended the meeting.
