Tashi Tsering (Naxi)

Member of the China Association of Fine Artists; Vice-Chairman of the Tibet Association of Fine Artists; Council member of the Science Association of Tibet University; Director of associate professor with the Department of Arts of Tibet University.
Tashi Tsering, born in September 1957 in Zayu, graduated from the Tibet Teacher's Institute in 1978, and remained to teach in the institute. In 1980, he went to study oil painting in the Department of Paintings of the Tianjin Art college. His works include Sons of Slaves which won the Third Award from the Second Tianji Youths' Fine Art Works Exhibition and the Third Award from the Second China Youths' Five Art Works Exhibition, ancient Well which was selected to attend the sixth National Exhibition of Five Art Works, An Old Village which won the Outstanding Works Award from the Fifth Tibet Exhibition of Fine Art Works, patriotic General which won the Third Award from a fine art works show held to mark the 40th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet, Khamba Man and Girls From the Xigaze Area which were shown at the Symphony of Souls held in Japan and were collected by the Japanese.
