Kardyi (Tibetan)

Member of the China Association of Fine Artists; Teacher with the Department of Arts of Tibet University.
Born in May 1971 in Lhasa, Kardyi entered the Department of Arts of Tibet University in 1986. In 1992, he graduated from the Instructors' Class of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts. His works were shown in national exhibitions, including Bathing Festival which was on view during the Second China Realistic Paintings, Tibetan New Year which won a silver medal from the Tibet Exhibition of Fine Arts, Season Good for Kite Flying which won the Good Work Award from the Eighth National Exhibition of Fine Arts and was thereafter compiled into the World Almanac of Fine Artists of the Chinese Origin and also into the Part: Modern of the Collected Fine Artist Works, and Pastoral Songs which was shown during the Exhibition of Fine Art Works by 100 Painters sponsored by the Chinese Association or Literary and Art Circles, and was donated to the Sunset Project. In addition, he designed souvenir stamps to mark the 40th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet, which were issued nationwide by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
