Galsang Tsering (Tibetan)
Member of the China Association of Fine Artists; Council Member of
the Tibet Association of Fine Artists; Director and lecturer of the
Department of Fine Arts of Tibet University.
Born December 1958 in Xigaze, Galsang Tsering was graduatd from the
Department of Arts of Tibet University in 1978. He furthered his study
in the Tianjin College of Fine Arts, and studied and conducted exchanges
at the Paris International Town of Arts. His works were shown in and
outside China, have won many awards, and have been compiled into the
Almanac of fine Artists of the Chinese Origin. He has held individual
painting shows three times in Paris. His Sacrifice paid to the God
was shown at the Paris Autumn Saloon Art Exhibition; his Sacrice Paying
Rituals in Xikang won the Outstanding Work Award of Chinese oil paintings;
and his Morning won the Outstanding Work Award of the Eighth National
Fine Arts Exhibition.
