Sherab Gyaincain (Tibetan)
Member of the Tibet Association of Fine Artists; Deputy director of
and associate professor with the Department of Fine Arts of Tibet
University.
Born in November 1958 in Xigaze, Sherab Gyaincain studied fine arts
at the Department of Arts of Tibet University. Upon his graduation
in 1981, he remained to teach. He was thereafter given chances to
study oil painting and Occidental history of fine arts in the Tianjin
Collegeof Fine Arts and the Nanjing Teacher's University. His Titleless
was taken into the Collected Works by Comtemporary Men of Letters;
his Sacrifice of Voice was shown in Taiwan; his Deliverance for All
Living Beings, Wiping Out Three Poisons and Repentance of the Butcher
were shown at the Symphony of Souls in Japan. And his name was taken
into the Dictionary of Contemporary Artists.
