Chigya Dawa (Tibetan)
Council member of the China Association of Fine Artists; Council member
of the China Association of Print Artists; Executive member of the
Sichuan Provincial Association of Literary and Art Circles; Vice-chairman
and secretary general of the Sichuan Provincial Association of Fine
Artists; Deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Art Gallery;
First class the artist.
Born in the Garze Tibetan Ethnic Minority Autonomous Prefecture, Chigya
Dawa was graduated from the Sichuan College of Fine Arts. His works
were shown in exhibitions at the national and provincial level. His
Making a Blaze Trail found its way into the National Exhibition of
Fine Art Works; his Family Happiness won the Outstanding Award at
the China Exhibition of Fine Art Works by Ethnic Minority Artists;
his People Who Plant Trees won a gold medal at the China Exhibition
of Modern Prints held in Tokyo, Japan; his Pastoral Songs was shown
at the 11th National Exhibitions of Prints; his Deep Thinking was
shown at the 8th National Exhibition of Fine Art Works, winning the
Outstanding Work Award.
